The DNC should invalidate the whole thing and let Iowans have a mail in ballot do-over later.

I'm not coming from a place of bias here. This was a huge insult to every single one of our candidates that spent so much time, energy and money campaigning there. This is an embarrassment that will (unfairly) reflect on the entire party. We can't go around complaining about unfair elections while allowing something like this to stand.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I mean hey, if they can prove that there will be integrity in their final result, I guess I'm ok with it. But there were also a lot of reports of confusion about the rules and the rules not being followed in places, so I'm not sure any of this was done correctly.

So even though it will take time, it is not at much risk of being unreliable. (There were so many people at each site that knew the results, that any misreporting of numbers would be unlikely.)

A registered party member for = or > 90 days. No "Democrat for a Day" voters. Ballots go out 6 weeks prior and anything postmarked by election day is counted.

Have to count the paper results they have and report them.

Didn't they end up using exit polls for how people WOULD have voted had Obama and other candidates been on those ballots? I remember watching that entire hearing with all the party big wigs on C-Span and angry old white women yelling about how they were gonna vote for McCain, calling Obama an "inadequate black male" and nasty stuff like that.

There's no issue with the integrity of the vote, it's just taking longer to report all the results. Note that this is largely due to the DNC butting on and telling us how to run the caucus when it had worked fine for decades previously.

There is nothing wrong with releasing the results when we are sure we have everything counted. Remember 2000? We were so eager to get the results now now now that they just declared Bush the winner even though Florida wasn't anywhere near close to done counting.

Multiple precincts conducted the second round incorrectly.

The results of this caucus will always be under a cloud of suspicion due to this fact. Without rules being followed consistently in all precincts, we'll never know the actual results.

Fortunately, this only affects 41 delegates out of thousands so it is unlikely the eventual nominee will lose legitimacy over this debacle.

If they do it over and Biden comes in fucking 6th, I would accept it. But with reports of multiple precincts screwing up the rules with the 2nd phase, the whole thing will always have a cloud over it.

primary today, I would vote for:
