CNN: Approximately 250 precinct results still outstanding

Just now, with Wolf Blitzer in the Election Center.

This doesn't clear up everything, but it's some tangible information. The results from these 250 or so precincts hasn't been transmitted at all to the individuals who are recording the vote tallies.

Will update if there are further specifics.

Results expected "later this afternoon."

Update: Now CNN is reporting that we should expect "some" results later this afternoon. Big difference between "the" and "some".

Update: From the Los Angeles Times (courtesy of Brooklynite ): Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price now says results may not be released today.

"There is a verifiable paper record for every person who participated in these caucuses."

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

If a process that used to be done in an hour by hand and by phone still isn't done 12 hours later, there are bigger problems than counting and reporting.

We already have reports of process not being followed for realignment, did some locations depend solely on the app with no backup?

This could be spectacularly bad.

During this portion of the report, the reporter also said people reporting results had to "wait on the phone for an hour and a half." That's not that long, it's not so long that the results couldn't have been reported by now.

I don't know what's happening. But that is what the reporter said.

Maybe both things are true but something important is being left out.

Sadly incompetence is more common.
