Has Joe Biden already been swiftboated?

For the last several months during the impeachment investigation, the House process, and the Senate "trial", the Rthugs have trashed Joe Biden and his son. I'm wondering if the American public is looking for Joe to speak forcefully now about all this non-sense.

If he doesn't, I'm also wondering whether people have been so deluged with anti-Biden rubbish that they think he has something to hide. In other words, is this the swiftboating of Uncle Joe happening right before us?

I know he has done this in the past, but my thought is it would really help Biden if he went as public as he can now (not months ago) to the widest possible audience to shred this conspiracy theory forcefully and finally.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We watched it happen in real time. Trump is getting his wish and didn't even have to make Ukraine do it for him.

I remember what they did to Muskie. It was painful.

This was a sustained campaign to destroy Biden, the likes we have NEVER seen before.

I think Joe has to do and do it now. I think folks will greatly respect him if he does (particularly with Lyin Leningrad Lindsey's latest threats to investigate Biden.

Regardless of whom you support, remember that Trump and the Rethugs get their desired candidate. That's precisely what Nixon did, but on a much smaller scale.

I loved Pete Davidson on the cold open of last week's SNL as Hunter Biden. In addition to addressing the facts, Joe should also discuss Ivanka and Jared. This is hardly a reason to discount Joe Biden.

5. Agree with all of that. Biden should go on the attack against Graham for betraying his friendship.

As well as the Senate. But Joe just isn’t like that. Lindsey knows full well what a dishonest smear this is. How do we deal with people who have no shame?

6. Joe gets angry when Hunter and Ukraine are mentioned.

Instead of shutting down the query with an angry response, IMO, he should calmly recount that Hunter had been part of a consulting group that was advising Burisma on proper corporate governance for several years before Hunter joined the board, with his firm's consent to have a more direct hand in improving governance of the company.

Joe may not be everybody's choice but he's a good man.

Benghazi and emails brought Hillary down.

Burisma & Ukraine are bringing Biden down.

This process should be decided on the merits of the individual - not smears with no basis in fact by the GOP.

They've done it numerous times. Kerry perhaps the most famous. His valor was special and they sullied it. One may conjure up criticisms of Joe but integrity and greed are not valid concerns with Joe yet the GOP smear a candidate's strength.

I'd like whoever prevails to win this primary fair and square - not because the GOP took out the leading candidate. That's maybe naive but this is so wrong. The media needs to step up.

It has already succeeded. I’m amazed that this discussion hasn’t happened weeks ago.

As stinking, disgustingly unfair as it is, the damage has been accomplished. This means Joe Biden should consider dropping out, though not yet. The best hope for a Dem win is for Biden to take one for the team, stay in as a lightning rod, and then pull out when it’ll be too difficult for the rat bastards to start all over on another candidate.

Kerry swiftboat, Obama - Rev Wright, Biden - Burisma. The difference is people really liked Obama and the economy tanked. After the economy fell off a cliff people decided we had to go in a different direction regardless of the scary rhetoric about Obama’s views they were pushing. 2012 we actually made it work by making Romney seem like a rich snob with his car elevator, but it was the leaked audio about the 47% that did him in.

But it's unclear to me if Iowa's results had anything to do with it.

Remember, half the polls showed him not doing well in Iowa. He even downplayed expectations.
