Buttigieg again claims victory after partial Iowa results show him leading

'Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg touted partial results from Iowa caucuses showing him narrowly leading the 'Democratic field, linking it to his historic candidacy as a gay millennial.

“It validates for a kid, somewhere in a community, wondering if he belongs, or she belongs or they belong in their own family," Buttigieg told a crowd of supporters in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Buttigieg is the first, major openly gay presidential candidate, and could become the first openly gay candidate to win the Iowa Caucuses

Results from 62 percent of Iowa's precincts released by the Iowa Democratic Party showed Buttigieg leading with 28 percent of the delegates who will eventually be elected to the national convention. He was trailed closely by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with 25 percent.
The results are not final and were released a day after technical errors delayed the Iowa vote count by almost a day. The Democratic state party chairman, Troy Price, said earlier he did not have a timeline on when the final results would be released.

Buttigieg had faced strong criticism from rivals after appearing to declare victory on Monday night, even as no results from the caucuses had been released.'

He should not be in the position that he is in right now but guess what? He is.

So even if he loses, he's victorious.

referring to him as LOSER to Bernie every chance he gets to "explain" the numbers.

Not "really close second candidate", but LOSER.

My favorite comment so far today on the assholes on TV - "I'm not saying this is good news for Biden, but this CNN panel is fighting over his wishbone.."

Loser? They're fighting over 2.5789473684211% of the delegates you need to get the nomination. No one loses until someone hits 1900.

Meanwhile in 2016 Bernie remained viable even after he was mathematically eliminated because he claimed to have magical powers over super delegates.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
