71% of IA precincts reporting: Buttigieg 26.8%, Sanders 25.2%, Warren 18.4%, Biden 15.5%,

Klobuchar 12.6%, Yang 1.1%

Tweet from Bloomberg News reporter Tyler Pager:

Editing to add that CNN and the NY Times have Biden at 15.4%, not 15.5%.

Sanders is still ahead in the popular vote, by more than a thousand votes. CNN and the NY Times are giving different numbers, but both have Sanders ahead by over a thousand votes.

6. Sanders Versus Mayor Pete
Wed Feb 5, 2020, 01:20 AM

Word is that Sanders won the first round in the Iowa Caucuses. It was in the second round that Mayor Pete started surging. Maybe Pete picked up voters from Klobuchar supporters when she did not win enough support in the first round? Maybe Pete picked up some Biden voters also? I would like to know. It seems that Mayor Pete was a lot of people's second choice, which is how he has gotten a point or two ahead of Bernie.

It will be interesting to see how the numbers break down when all of the data is in. Personally I like Klobuchar better than Pete, but I will certainly back Pete or whoever gets the nomination. We still have a long way to go. I think our Presidential politics takes too long. It is a damn marathon. Just go to National Primaries. One night, everyone votes, we pick one candidate.

8. Amy Klobuchar

I am good with a Buttigieg win also. I am liking Amy Klobuchar more as I see her. I think she has good instincts. She seems to be able to think on her feet. When the Iowa results were delayed, she was the first one smart enough to come out and make a speech. She just seems sharp and smart to me, and she has a good sense of humor, which helps. Anyway, I have a tendency to like dark horses. I will support whatever Democrat gets the nomination.

Or, are there precinct captains still on the line waiting to report?

Weird how it's taking so long.
