Joe should drop out and endorse mayor Pete.

If the goal, above all else, is to both prevent a Sanders nomination and defeat Trump, that would be the thing to do.

I know this isn't how things play out in the real world, but it is what it is.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Sanders Warren block, significantly more

If one believes Iowa is a bellwether, than that would tend to imply that our best chance to win the GE should be one of the candidates in the Mayor Pete, Klobaucher, Biden block

I think if we choose a candidate too far left, it will be a very steep hill to climb

That being said, saying a candidate should or should not drop out based on the sham that is the Iowa caucus, which discriminates against those with mobility issues, and those who cannot spend hours in a caucus hall, along with the fact that people badger each other to try to change their vote on the second round of voting puts way too much weighting on the Iowa caucus

In fact the order of states for the first primaries-should NOT be Iowa or N.H. in my view

If Sanders or Biden we’re not in the race, I think Harris would still be a candidate

She is much more flexible and she's already said that she'd take Medicare for All one step at a time. Plus, she's not anti-DNC.

I strongly agree with you that the results of the sham caucus in Iowa shouldn't affect anyone's standing. We had 13 caucuses last time. We'll have six this time. Next time I hope we have zero.

Pete will probably win the delegate count based on how they are distributed.

Polls don't gauge where non-viables go. If Pete picked up a lot of secondary voters after the first count, all he had to be after the first vote was within striking distance and he could overtake Sanders in some districts.

Pete was also ahead in one of the latest polls (DBR).

The result probably isn't as surprising as it might appear.

There are two basic lanes, the left lane (Sanders/Warren) and the moderate lane (Biden/Pete).

As I see it, Warren has no chance - she had to win IA and NH (nearby state) to knock Bernie out of the left lane.

Biden is underperforming and his national polls are dropping. If his firewall in the South doesn't hold - then Uncle Joe is done and he needs to drop out and endorse Pete, to save us from Sanders who would get crushed in the GE and bring down the party with him.

And think Joe has to deliver soon or be watching more donors leave him, which they probably already are. Joe makes to many mistakes with speaking, policies , and his star is fading fast from certain age groups running from him now, and will only speed up his downfall. Warren has to also show better or she'll have zero chances of winning, but she is very capable of overtaking both Bernie and Pete. Her and Mayor Pete are the smartest , and very good at speaking, and I think are the ones to watch. Warren needs to simplify her message better , and run more ads showing how corrupt trump is.

Doing what you suggest wouldn't make any sense. There isn't any evidence (yet) that Buttigieg has enough widespread appeal, particularly in voting blocs that are the basis of the party, like AA voters. That could change, but it would have to change pretty much immediately.

If we're going to entertain fantasies, it would probably make more sense to drop out and endorse Warren. Or Bloomberg. Or everyone other than Sanders could drop out and endorse Biden.

... think not. Joe should stay in, for now. There is a debate, and the NH primary. Then, see how it goes... also, don't endorse another right away. Joe is not like Castro or Booker... he's more in the Obama and Hillary category... his endorsement should come later.

Unfortunately I do not believe this country is ready to elect a woman for president. Maybe maybe maybe for the vp. And it hurts my heart but I really don’t believe the good ol USA is anywhere near ready to elect a gay president. I believe it will happen in time and I truly hope I’m still alive to witness it but this country is not there yet. Just my opinion.

It will be after Super Tuesday that the number of candidates for the nomination will get a lot smaller. Then, we'll see where the votes of those who do not continue go. That will decide who the nominee will be.

Joe continues to lead across the country. He can go toe to toe with tRump on every single issue, especially world-wide experience (which he did NOT screw up!).

I am going to love seeing those debates....
