Amy Klobuchar supporters

I'm asking you if you can turn your support to Pete Buttigieg. It is obvious that Klobuchar can not become the nominee (sorry). And if you feel that a far left candidate like Warren or Bernie can not win a general election wouldn't it make sense to support the best moderate candidate?

Biden has shown he will not be a strong candidate. He is the VP to one of the most popular Presidents ever and he finished in 4th place in Iowa. A state at one time he was winning. He lost to Pete Buttigieg because Pete has that "IT" factor. When people get to know Pete his popularity grows. He also did well across the spectrum (old, young, female, male ..etc)

The party needs to start coming together behind one moderate or Bernie will start to run away with this. Maybe Bloomberg is the answer. I do not know.

All I heard was that other supporters would move to Biden in Iowa if their candidate did not get in. This was not true. They went to Pete or Warren & Sanders.

The latest NH poll Pete is already passing Biden. He is about to catch fire and we need to gt his numbers up competing with sanders.

I even ask Biden supporters to vote for Pete. Make the NH race close against Bernie.

primary today, I would vote for:

And I agree with you that Biden is a weak candidate - highly likeable but can't keep up mentally and physically. He'll get shredded in a debate with drumpf.

If we pick a Presidential candidate that's too far left, like Warren or Sanders, we will lose ANY possibility of retaking control of the Senate that's heavily weighted towards sparsely populated RED states. That means, Moscow Mitch McConnel will block every judicial appointment, every Supreme Court appointment (let our beloved RBG finally retire), every piece of legislation, he'll block everything.

Even some IA Dems had a homophobia/bigot problem claiming the bible is against homosexuality. And they were Dems!

We need the Senate. We need a centrist Pres candidate that will win it back.

We need Amy for president. She can win it all back. She's got what it takes.

Mayor Pete and Warren are definitely in through Super Tuesday, and Sanders is a given through Super Tuesday.

5. Your assessment of Biden based on Iowa is flawed. The caucus is a discriminating process which
Wed Feb 5, 2020, 12:26 PM
Feb 2020

discriminates against those with mobility issues, and those who cannot spend hours in a caucus hall.

In addition, it allows those caucus goers to badger each other to change their vote for the second ballot. It is a terrible process, and an insult to the secret ballot.

Iowa is not a bellwether.

I agree with you that Klobuchar has the greatest challenge, but I don't see any of the candidates base supporters dropping out until after the NH primary.

Regardless what happens in NH Biden will stay in the race through Super Tuesday. Same with Warren and Mayor Pete.

In my view the only question is if Klobuchar will stay in through Super Tuesday or not.

What does she stand for? All I have heard from her is what she thinks can’t be done.

Joe is pretty much the same but at least we know he can do the job.

Pete has charisma and has built a great campaign. This demonstrates his leadership ability.

Warren is probably the most qualified candidate with a vision- thus my support.

Sanders has a vision and passionate base.

Bloomberg has a lot of money.

The question to Warren and Sanders is would you sign legislation that is short of your stated goal? Like if it’s just fixes for Obamacare, maybe a public option. Warren said yes.

The question for Amy, Biden and Pete is if by some miracle the House and senate pass Medicare for all, wealth tax, etc - would they sign or veto it. Because they all are correct that those things aren’t likely to pass, but we should stop with trying to initiate negotiations with the weakest position.

We had the House, Senate and White House and we didn’t get a public option because our own side was afraid to push for it. We got Obamacare through and paid a heavy price losing the House then the Senate. So let’s learn and decide that when we stick our necks out for important change, that we stick them out all the way.
