Related: About this forumYouGov: Sanders nomination would disappoint more primary voters than any other except Tulsi Gabbard
46% of Dems and Dem-leaning independents would be disappointed if Tulsi were our nominee.
28% would be disappointed if Sanders were our nominee.
They were followed by Deval Patrick (25%), Bloomberg (25%), and Bennet (22%).
And then Biden (21%) and Warren (20%).
Among Democrats only, 47% would be disappointed if Tulsi were the nominee.
26% would feel that way about Sanders.
15% would feel that way about Warren.
But only 13% of Dems would feel disappointed about a Biden nomination.

(4,436 posts)Bash all you want- it doesnt help get
the eventual nominee elected in November, to sit here and pull strange poll numbers like that, which arent on anyones mind.
28% of Dem primary voters represent like less than 10% of overall voters in the fall election. And disappoint certainly doesnt mean they all wont vote for who the eventual nominee will be. I would be disappointed if Biden is the nominee, but if he is, I will work my tail off to get him elected in November.
Please stop with all the negative waves- and lets work to win, not work to derail others.

(18,402 posts)Thats supposed to be an event in which the Democratic party decides who it wants to represent it as a nominee.
If more than a quarter of the partys members would be disappointed, its a sad day for the party. And the result of the misguided move to more open primaries in many states.
This shouldnt be an occasion for independent voters to decide who they want to run against the Republican. In my mind, they should have a separate independent primary. Go ahead and run your Perot or Anderson. Whatever the cost to one party or another.

(25,471 posts)Gabbard would cause me serious pause, but I'd still vote for her if she was the nominee. Luckily, I won't have to face that.
Getting rid of Trump is priority one. The vote for our nominee, regardless, is a no-brainer.
