Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Here's a ticket
Bloomberg/Bernie
I know, I know. At first glance no diversity. True as to "identity" politics (both old white male Jews from NYC!).
BUT! Their political POLICIES ... oy vey they couldn't be more different!

OP
There is no way Bernard Sanders would settle for VP. His rightful place is at the top of the ticket

(102,205 posts)2. Honestly... (and I am absolutely NOT going after Bernie by saying this)
but I think he may well have trouble even having a VP--i.e., ceding minimal control to a VP.
He's always struck me as very much a singular figure and not necessarily one who thinks "team" effort as his "comfort zone."
Some of our best leaders have been like that and giving the VP more power and authority has been a pretty recent phenomenon-- so this is not necessarily a critique.
