Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI'm bouncing around about the candidates
Someone recently asked about undecided people and why we aren't committing to someone, so I did. Why I hadn't before (I started with Kamala, then became undecided) was because there were too many good candidates. I just changed my #1 choice again--to Amy. I'm more and more like Goldilocks, and she is just right.
We must win this. That is job #1.

Biden, but I am beginning to think the very best person to put up against trump (especially debating) is a Woman!!
I love Biden but would love to see trump debate either Warren or Klobuchar!

(63,883 posts)I can hear either one saying "You can't bully me. Don't even TRY!"
Especially if he tries his skulking around behind her.
But who says Trump will debate?

(8,052 posts)After a year of watching, I'm most interested at this point in Bloomberg, Amy, and Bernie. That may seem politically inconsistent but I'm looking at personality and political skills, and not ideology or policy. I voted for Bernie in 2016.
I feel sorry for Biden, I think someone talked him into running to rescue us from both a Bernie nomination AND Trump, and they should have just let him enjoy his golden years as a popular former VP. His time would have been 2016, though I understand why he didn't run then. I admire E. Warren but I think she's reached her ceiling of support--maybe it's her delivery or whatever, I don't know. But her heart is genuine and she's consistent, and I like her. I find Pete to be an inauthentic, carefully-crafted product of marketing and media, a lot of what he says appears to be empty buzzwords and hot nonsense, and I also find it preposterous for someone to run for President in his 30's (same with Gabbard). He's smart, but in the way of always having a glib and easy answer for everything. Maybe it's having watched my fellow Gen-Xer candidates (who were more accomplished) drop out one by one, but I just can't warm up to him. That said, of course I would vote for him. Yang, it's not going to happen, but he is an innovator and I like that. That takes guts. Steyer--Bloomberg makes him irrelevant, doesn't have the political skills or force of personality.
I'll gladly vote for any of these people, of course, over you know who.
