Which Presidential candidate could also bring a Senate majority with them when they win?

I’m asking because I don’t believe a new Democratic POTUS can make ANYTHING they promised in the campaign come to fruition without having House and Senate majorities to make them happen. Just 4 years of spinning our wheels and watching the Senate refuse to allow a Democratic President to appoint a Supreme Court Justice, etc.

So for me, the most important question is which of our candidates has the best shot at making that a reality?

I think Biden and Klobuchar have the best chance at those kind of coattails.

will appoint Republican Senator.

So we'd have to pick up TWO seats just to get back to where we are right now.

If my South Carolina public schools math is correct.

So in addition to targeting the 2016 Electoral College states PA, Mi, et al, 4 or so 'con Senators up for election in November, need special attention.

[Plus a landslide Dem win nationwide would help].

Basically because she is most free to chose a VP that could help.

Biden is going to have to have a logical understudy right at the start. Buttigieg will have to pick an experienced player. Bloomberg will have to do that also. Sanders theory of the case cannot allow him to go to far outside of his lane. Warren will need to shore up the Midwest.

Amy has the freest choice and can really think in those terms. She will have to weld the progressive wing to her, but she can do that with a bold choice based less on ideology and more on personality. She is actually the one most likely to select someone like Stacey Abrams.

She could go with Booker also, or if she thought it would help Castro. It is just she has more options. Abrams comes up because she has indicated she is open to it.

Bloomberg will self-finance, so that frees up all the DNC cash to pour in every race.

Sanders won't do shit for Congress cause no one wants to be associated with socialism except him and AOC. Also, any new voters he would bring in would only vote for him. There's no guarantee Bernie voters will vote for Dems down ballot.
