Bernie schools Chuck Todd on counteracting Trump socialist attacks

Bernie Sanders appeared on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd. Chuck tried to make an issue with the problem Bernie would have with his self-ascribed Socialist moniker if he became the nominee. Bernie illustrated how easy it will be to flip the argument.

On how easy it is to brand him as a communist disguised as a socialist. They will and they will make it stick.

I'd say older people who still have memories of the cold war and those who are furious about trump/putin connection. It doesn't have to make sense but remember Russia has been and is our enemy. So while you think this can be dismissed out of hand, those who associate socialism with Russia will take this into consideration.

They'll put so much fear in everybody that they will make them think that Sanders was involved with Kennedys death because he is a socialist. I've seen this happen before and they will do it again.

100,000? 200,000?

Point being, they are going to be assholes regardless of who wins. We should pick the best person and the one most Dems want (and, hopefully, the one that will get the most people out to vote) and NOT the one that we think Trump will make fun of and lie about (which, by the way, is ALL of them).

Every time we want to fix a problem or shortcomings in capitalism, it' s called SOCIALISM. Whether it is or not.

When people already have shortages in money, medicine, affordable shelter under capitalism, it becomes hard to say Socialism is the probem
