I think I've decided on Amy, after too much agonizing!

I get it that Klobuchar's a moderate who knows how to compromise. I know this might alienate some of the more far left contingent. I believe I value most of the same things this group does, but I don't think the country will elect a leader who espouses a far left position right now. I think Klobuchar also values much of what the Bernie gang values, but she's willing to compromise, to see the long game.

Honestly, most of us want affordable education, fair and affordable health care, election reform, etc... There is so much more uniting the candidates than separating them. But just because you're FOR something as a candidate or president doesn't make it all come true. I get really turned off by the promises, knowing much of it won't happen because of our currently broken process.

I love what Bernie has done for the conversation, and I love Warren's thoughtful approach to real issues and solutions. I love Mayor Pete's intelligence and believe he'll be president one day, maybe our first gay one. And I love Joe and his empathy and foot-in-mouth candor.

I think Amy is the one who can win and then make things happen.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We are lucky on our side to have a number of excellent choices.

On the GOP side, they have Trump.

then I think she will be an excellent candidate. We could do far worse. I also hope that if Bernie gets the nomination he will consider her for VP.

The fact she's been able to hurt Pete multiple times in the debates, while everyone else who tried has faded away, shows just how formidable she is.

I wish Sanders wasn't in this so I wouldn't have to view Amy as a spoiler candidate who is helping him win. If this were a contest between actual Democrats, I wouldn't have all this anxiety about the party possibly imploding and I would be happy for her success.

Klobuchar and Warren are my only tier 1 candidates left. (Buttigieg is tier 2 (great potential, but get some national or state-wide experience)). The others - well, I'm a yellow dog Democrat so I'll vote for whoever's on the ticket in November, but for the primary I'm going with a person I want to see in the office.

Her confidence, experience, intelligence, and calm demeanor have put her at the top of my list. I hope she makes it through the early primaries so I can vote for her in the AZ primary on March 17th.

Hope you'll join us in the Klobuchar 2020 group. https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1300

She has that Teflon thing going on that when someone attacks her, it not only slides off her but splashes back on them. Kavanaugh was rude and belligerent to all the Dems but Amy is the one who got an apology. It's not a female thing, it's an Amy thing. She's just one of those people that you look bad attacking. That would be like kryptonite against Trump.

I’ve backed Joe and still do. But the target on him troubles me. She’s definitely getting a strong look from me. I can almost see her beating 45 in a debate. Almost. Still thinking...

Btw I like your style. We are our own worst enemies if this nastiness toward one another continues.
