I think I have finally figured out Joe...

I've been a Biden supporter for a long time and was so happy when Obama chose him for his running mate. However, I don't think Joe is truly into this election. His campaigning is different...more low key than before. I also don't like his snips at people, allegedly joking during some, but enough to get the bad headlines from opponents/their supporters.

I think the comments made about his "touching" people in the past shook him up. I never did feel his interaction with people was anywhere near sexual in nature, but it only takes a couple to throw out the suspicion and then it is difficult to fight. Joe has always been the type who was kind and attentive. He doesn't like to do battles. When he does, he overreacts and that doesn't sit well with people.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel Joe throws himself into campaigns. He loves to talk, but isn't the type to beg. He'll sell himself, but then he'd be content to step back and let it all happen. He relies on his "good guy" status and enjoys his reputation as a fair and dedicated servant to his country.

This constant drubbing by the Republicans/Trump on the Ukraine issue with Hunter has taken a lot of the piss and vinegar out of Joe.

If he could walk into the office with none of this kerfuffle, sit down and get to work, he'd be great. I'm still watching him, but...

1972!

He lost in 88 and 08. And he's looking pretty bad right now.

for the general election.

And I realize that the entire Trump administration has nepotism helping their families...but the idiots won't care, they will care about the hunter headlines.

4. I still think Biden is the best choice and I am so disappointed

that the Democrats have been scared off of supporting him. You know the Republicans will take credit for running him out of the race.

7. I haven't totally given up on him, just expressing my concerns.

Joe is a good guy...definitely no Trump...but we're just getting started and if he is depending on South Carolina to boost him above the others, he's losing ground. Shoot, I even moved my Biden yard signs when I downsized, so I am a Joe Go Gal. I've just been disappointed in his campaign. Sometimes a kick in the pants will wake someone up, not that he reads DU.

I have met both of the Biden boys, his sister and some of the grandchildren. Love the family, especially Beau. Losing him was like losing a member of my family, but his request to his dad may have been a burden and Joe is trying to honor it. He also had to keep the family together after Beau's death. That's a load.

I'm sure he's entirely well-meaning, in that and his jokes and so on.

I don't think Joe retains his full measure of impulse control. I don't know if it's elder decline or his surgeries or some combination of the two but that's how he strikes me.
