Joe Biden Is Running Out Of Gas

https://www.thedailybeast.com/joe-biden-is-running-out-of-gas

Biden’s campaign is running on fumes. A candidate with all the trappings of a traditional frontrunner—the long résumé, party backing, relevant experience, and steady poll numbers—suddenly is on electoral life support. A fourth-place showing in the Iowa Caucus days ago has raised the stakes for the upcoming primary. But even Biden himself seems to be grappling with the likelihood that another humiliation is on the horizon. His first answer during Friday night’s debate was devoted, in part, to explaining how he was likely to lose on Tuesday.

For a candidate staring down another major setback—one that could irrevocably derail his presidential ambitions—one would expect Biden to be infused with a sense of urgency and desperation. But none of that was apparent on Saturday morning. And the lethargy that has come to define his campaign has begun to have an effect on voter perceptions.

“I had a hunch, watching the debate last night, that maybe, just maybe, his heart was not in it,” said Jim Barry, who had come to New Hampshire from Buffalo, New York. “This was a call to duty for him. But it doesn’t feel like he actually wants it.”

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Little early ... but don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Lot can happen between now and SC.

And before you go ballistic on me, even though my preference is Biden I'm not at all as pessimistic on Bernie as most here seem to be, but I just think he needs to go a long way to close the deal.

Buttigieg is still polling in the single digits throughout most of the country. Buttigieg's strength is with younger voters and he is splitting those votes with Bernie.

I’m glad he is on empty. That ad was the final straw for me with Biden. After what I thought he won the debate. I considered revisiting Biden then next day he release that ad. Bad taste

...we'd be foolish to count Joe out...or anyone out...

...there's a long way to go and there's a lot that could happen...

...as a strong Bernie supporter I would hate to find us assuming anything...

...Bernie's looking good right now, let's keep our shoulders to the grindstone, hope for a decisive win on Tuesday and strongly move forward taking nothing for granted...

...we need to run like our lives depended upon it, they do...

…save for the caucus debacle; the results from Iowa are otherwise meaningless.

The primaries haven't even started yet – where voters participate in actual elections.

Whomever wins NH is likewise meaningless.

Things will become a little clearer after Nevada and SC.

Then there are the March 3rd and March 10th primaries in the South, industrial Midwest, and Mountain West.

By the end of March we’ll see who is running out of gas.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
