Young Turks revs up attacks against Pete Buttigieg

So Bernie's people are smearing Pete in full force since Iowa.I'm not going to link there videos but if you look at their youtube page, it's either Bernie was robbed narrative or Pete is corrupt narrative. I wonder if they are worried about Bernie's chances in New Hemisphere. If Bernie loses NH, expect there to be a huge meltdown.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

They do call themselves "Home of the Progressives" not Democrat news. Their perspective is pretty clear, they support progressive candidates and have even endorsed Sanders. Sure they are coming from a biased starting point, but you know that from the beginning and can choose to listen to them or not. As to the claims they are making about Pete, are they factually inaccurate, the couple clips I have seen it didn't seem like the information was off. I know sometimes not giving all the information can be as bad as giving false information but are there specific claims in which they either lied or omitted relevant facts on this particular story? I know I usually put them in the category of occasionally listen and fact check them. Even https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-young-turks/ lists them as almost extremely biased to the Left and Mostly True. It says in their a factual search did not find factual errors but they did not give them "high" due to their support of some pseudoscience subjects like GMOs.

I know funding is a sketchy issue and of course Cenk's past and even some recent comments but from a factual standpoint they do tend to get their facts right.

they completely misunderstand that progressivism is based on progress - having grand policy goals that have no way of being achieved, is not progress and is not progressive. They reject anyone who focuses on the intermediate, achievable steps that could move us to the ultimate goal.

And, there is a contingent of bullies which their leader does not shut down. Bullying is definitely not progressive.

It takes a pragmatist to bring progressive policies to fruition and most change comes incrementally. Sudden change not only is difficult to achieve, it also does not sit well with most people.

Yes, bullying is not progressive and rarely brings about positive change. Could destroy a party however.

20. More important question would be why he feels that way

Well is it that the Dem party does not align with his views or what? It's like the parent blaming science for their child leaving the church. Is it because of propaganda or is it he just realized his views may not be in line with a party. It does seem as a party we are at a crossroad from told guard and the younger more progressives. This article is a little older but talks about the shift in ideology https://news.gallup.com/poll/246806/understanding-shifts-democratic-party-ideology.aspx . That is the part that worries me it seems like a lot of the leadership is more on the older conservative and moderate perspective.

I know I am the same age as your son and I would say I identify further left and to me it sometimes seem like the party itself can be resistant to change and leaves people frustrated, but especially as more seasoned party members die off or canidates retire the party is in a tug of war. I dont think a fracture or a third party is a good idea, but if leadership continues ues to be openly hostile or dismissive to the more progressive people I think it will drive a wedgie further.

I really dont know the right answer or choice but to me it seems odd to blame a news outlet for someone leaving a party. We have to figure a way and fast to include all spectrums but really there is a world of spectrum between someone like AOC and someone like Manchin. It's not that either are bad but on many issues they are not in agreement and the same is true of the supporters and voters.

The party is closer to my ideological alignment to any party so I align with the Democrat identity but I do lean more left so I identify with and will choose a more liberal candidate in a primary. I think that is the purpose of the primaries is to choose who we want to represent us and then in general elections support the party even if may not be an ideal candidate it still is usually more closely aligned than the alternative.

Sometimes when we first open our eyes to things wether politics religion ect we can have a tendency to respond with anger. Maybe hes starting to see things from a viewpoint more in line with him and it's a outward display of his frustration realizing some of the questionable things between the factions within the party. A lot of times the emotions pass and then become more level headed. Who knows though, could just stay angry but that takes a lot of effort.
