Walton Heirs Worth $174 Billion

And don't pay taxes.

Ain't America Great!

Bernie.....

https://qz.com/1276872/the-richest-people-in-the-world-walton-family-koch-brothers-bill-gates-jeff-bezos-warren-buffett/

$174 BILLION Zero Income Tax. Inherited only $40 Billion. So they built $134 billion in increased wealth and paid zero income tax.

Isn't it great to be super duper rich!!!!

Paying Taxes is for the poor.

'During her tax evasion trial, a former employee testified that Helmsley said: “We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes.” By “we”, she meant not only herself but her husband, New York tycoon Harry Helmsley. ‘Only little people pay taxes' became America’s version of ‘let them eat cake.’'

And when Helmsley was found guilty of tax fraud she was confined to her mansion.....

Am I the only one here who understands how badly we are being screwed?

I mean me and Bernie of course. Elizabeth too by the way.

Perhaps they heard verse 36 of the eight chapter in the Gospel of Mark, but have they listened?

Mark 8:36

For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

How much money is enough to secure one's own family's essential well being, when there is so much need and suffering in the world?

4. I was thinking about it the other day ... even if you have just ONE billion ...

And you earn 10% interest or the like on your $1B ... that means you acquire $100M every year ... sitting on your ass if you want to.

And since it's accumulating over the year, you can probably reinvest that as it comes in ... I'm guessing it's not unreasonable to figure you could make $5M off that $100M ...

So, you could take $5M/year to buy houses and yachts and vacations and what not ... get to the end of the year ... and have 1.1B in the bank.

And that's starting with just ONE billion.

If you had $10B, you would gather $50M/year that's the interest you made OFF of your interest ... and still wake up the next Jan 1 with $11B.

Make sense you wouldn't have to pay taxes on any of that, doesn't it?

5. I don't think anyone pays tax on the money in savings, bonds or shares

It's my understanding the Walton family wealth is in stocks so they'd pay tax on dividends earned or in capital gains if they sold any but not on the value of the stock itself.

6. You don't pay taxes when your stocks increase in value, you pay when you sell them
Mon Feb 10, 2020, 05:49 AM
Feb 2020

Until they sell them they're just baseball cards. They've been getting dividends, which they've paid taxes on.

In general you pay taxes on money you've received, not on the potential to receive money, and stocks are just the potential to receive money, not money.

In tax refunds from trump and the GOP tax bill they passed. Walmart employees nothing, while they still get government help we pay for because they're paid so little, or are given little hours. That suns up trumps phony economy he claims is so good, unless you're a 1%er.

Walmart as a corporation isn't paying taxes. No data indicates that the Waltons as individuals don't.
