Michael Bloomberg's 2020 campaign ads are driving TV-addicted Trump crazy: report

Raw Story

President Donald Trump has been happy to sit back and watch the Democratic primary field tear each other apart, but his re-election campaign is growing concerned about billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s growing support.

The president has been lobbing attacks at the former New York City mayor on Twitter and in Fox News interviews, but his allies insist he’s not afraid of Bloomberg — he just watches a whole lot of television, reported Politico.

“He’s very reactive to what he sees and the fact that Bloomberg’s ads are all over better explains the attacks on him than Trump being fearful of him,” said a Republican operative.

That GOP operative said Trump’s 2020 campaign sees Bloomberg as more of a threat to other Democrats than to the president himself.

You have to realize the rest of the Democratic field is bringing a knife to a gunfight. Picture Trump calling Biden "plugs", dismissing Warren as an emotional woman crying wolf, making cracks about Mayor Pete and his husband, calling Sanders "crazy bernie" - you get the idea. Now picture Bloomberg shoving it up Trump's ass with a candle. Yeah, I like that image.

Trump hates those ads because he cannot respond to them, cannot stop them, and cannot stop looking for them.

All Bloomberg has to do is keep 'em coming, and don't respond directly to Trump about them.

I would take great pleasure in driving Trump crazy, well more crazy than he already is. I wouldn't run for president though. I wonder if there are any other billionaires out there who might want to spend some of their money to save our democracy. How about the richest man in the world? Surely, he has some cash to spare.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
