James Carville Warns Against Dems Nominating Bernie Sanders (Mediaite article with video)

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/i-dont-want-to-be-in-a-cult-james-carville-warns-against-dems-nominating-bernie-sanders/

Carville drew a great deal of attention in the last few days for how profusely he has spoken against Sanders as the Democrats’ choice to put against President Donald Trump. When he joined Morning Joe on Monday to talk about the state of the race, Carville went full throttle as he warned that “the party has got to know who it is and who its constituents are.”

“The only thing, the only thing between the United States and the abyss is the Democratic Party. That’s it. If we go the way of the British labor party, if we nominate Jeremy Corbyn, it’s going to be the end of days…So I am scared to death, I really am.”

Carville went on to say that African American voters aren’t interested in “foolishness” like revolution and socialism, “they’re interested in somebody that’s going to come to them and articulate a vision as to how they fit into this country.”

“If we lose that, we’re going to be the British labor party and be out some theoretical left-wing la la land,” Carville said. “I’m afraid that Donald Trump is going to get re-elected and I have to do this four more years and I don’t think we can make it. I really don’t…The country can’t continue like this.”

He went on to say that "a certain part of the Democratic Party...wants us to be a cult" and he isn't interested in being in a cult.

We nominate a left candidate in a center left may even center right since Trump, we lose. The house majority was won with moderates...and we could lose the house if we nominate Sanders. I do think EW could move to the center and with the right VP could win...she is my second choice. However, Sanders has no chance...one has only to look at the numbers of us vs GOP types in the states and the Senate to see the truth..the left can likely spoil an election maybe ( we may offset with suburban women)but they wont win an election. That being said I vote blue no matter who. Folks need tor realize not only can Trump get elected, he is likely to get elected. We need to fight with everything we have...and it still boils down to blue wall states .

When you have a supporter say "The more negative things you say about my candidate, that being Biden, the more I am going to support him." those are signs of fanatic behaviour, and when negative comments are spout without support of facts against an opponent, that is also signs of fanatic behaviour.

The constant bashing of Sanders is going to be a negative for all, no matter who wins the nomination, whether it is Sanders, or Biden, or anyone else.

This has to stop, we are slowly becoming angry at those who do not support our candidate, and it will turn out really bad, passions are too strong and I believe they are starting to become fanatical, it cannot turn out well for November. We are shooting ourselves on the foot willingly, this is crazy.

and we are eating it.

Amy Klobuchar was very wrong about addressing those people booing her as Sander's supporters. We are slowly creating an incredible division within the Democratic party, how can that go well?

We all know there are a lot of trolls creating discourse and we are helping them do that. We cannot prove those were real Sanders supporters, and I know I already said it, but Amy was very wrong addressing them that way.

Today it is ALL against Bernie because he seems to be showing the highest promise to become the nominee, do any of you remember when Biden was it and everyone went after Biden? Kamala harris went after Biden, Buttigieg went after Biden, many others who are not running anymore went after Biden, so now they all go after Sanders because he is up? How naive can we be? This is a power struggle and nothing else, and as we come up with negative attacks, whether they are true or not, all we are doing is feeding the republican propaganda machine that doesn't care about facts.

I repeat...THIS WILL NOT TURN OUT WELL...REMEMBER 2016.

....of Manhattan, we had gypsies in the neighborhood. They alternately referred to themselves as a "band" and a "tribe", and even had their own hierarchy including a Queen. There was nothing ethnically specific to them, they were just people that felt comfortable together. Gypsy does NOT refer people of any specific race.

One time the Queen was admitted in the middle of the night, and the rest of her "band" or "tribe", or even "pack" if you will, set up a vigil in the waiting room until she was discharged.

It was a unique experience and no one - doctors, nurses, technicians - assigned any racial or ethnic significance to them. I suppose one could if one wanted, but it would have been a stretch.

63. I saw far too much of vetted sanders delegates at the National Convention
Mon Feb 10, 2020, 07:22 PM
Feb 2020

Normally going to a national convention is a once in a life time experience. I have worked really hard inside the party on campaigns and voter protection issues for a very long time to earn this trip. Too bad that sanders and his vetted delegates ruined that experience and did their best to help trump. A candidate has absolute approval rights over their pledged delegates because these delegates can change their votes and these delegates represent the candidate and campaign. I helped vet Clinton delegates and I know that I was vetted. The Clinton campaign told us that we represent her and that our actions would reflect on her and her campaign.

In contrast, sanders sent one very weak text the Sunday night before the convention and then did little or nothing to control his delegates. It was nasty I was there when the sanders delegates booed Congressman John Lewis. I was warned about this stunt 30 minutes before it happened by the Clinton campaign whip. According to my whip, sanders was asked to stop this event and declined. That incident will be used against sanders by Russia to suppress the African American vote just as was done in 2016

Russia will just run material showing sanders delegates booing John Lewis, Elijah Cummings and others to suppress the vote of African American voters and I feel that this tactic would be very effective

I was at the Texas delegation breakfast when a group of sanders delegates marched in and demanded that we condemn Clinton and change our votes to sanders.

sanders spoke to the Texas delegation the next morning and his speech was again solely about himself. There was a mini-riot due to his delegates the prior morning and the only thing that sanders talked about was himself. sanders did nothing to deal with the fact that his delegates were out of control and did nothing to try to help Hillary Clinton win the general election.

Finally a group of sanders delegates yelled at my daughter and called her the c-Word because she would not try to get me to change my vote. Again sanders was asked to tell his delegates to behave during the convention and sanders refused

This description may well fit as well as any other description

Matt Orfalea, whose work Jane Sanders likes. He's the creator of the fake MLK speech entitled "I Have a Wet Dream".

David Sirota, whose racist work got him fired from a campaign in Philadelphia.

As for Chris D. Jackson, that tweet doesn't look racist unless of course he's referring to the race of the people Sanders' campaign sent to Biden's office, which he isn't. You do understand that the word "gypsy" doesn't refer to a person's race in America, don't you?

Why does anyone listen to Carville anymore?

Boomers like me were those young people of Woodstock fame who fought and marched for civil rights and woman's rights. We were also the ones whose demonstrations helped end the Vietnam war. Unfortunately, our candidate, Robert Kennedy was assassinated. We couldn't vote until we were 21, and we remember the disaster of the George McGovern loss. We learned from that, and hence we are very wary about Sanders. It is not that we are bashing him or his supporters. We just don't want to make that mistake again.

"Well, you know, James Carville is well-known for spouting off his mouth without always knowing what he's talking about," Obama told "Nightline." "And I intend to stay focused on fighting for the American people because what they don't need is 20 more years of performance art on television. And that's what James Carville and a lot of those folks are expert at ... a lot of talk and not getting things done for the American people."

Note Obama said "without always knowing what he's talking about" (i.e., he talks some or even MOST of the time knowing what he's talking about" ) I wonder what the context and situation was when made that comment? Sure, that's not important.

And even during his glory has been years, the Dems lost tons of elections. So he's the last person I'd be looking to for advice. I closed the book on him when he said Howard Dean's 50 state strategy had nothing to do with the Dems winning Congress in 2006. The Dems then got rid of Dean and went on to lose both the House and the Senate.

Why anybody listens to the fraud known as Carville is beyond me.
