Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumMichael Bloomberg's 2020 campaign ads are driving TV-addicted Trump crazy
President Donald Trump has been happy to sit back and watch the Democratic primary field tear each other apart, but his re-election campaign is growing concerned about billionaire Michael Bloombergs growing support.
The president has been lobbing attacks at the former New York City mayor on Twitter and in Fox News interviews, but his allies insist hes not afraid of Bloomberg he just watches a whole lot of television.
Some critics say Trump has been fixated on Bloomberg since the start of the year, and frequently brings up the former mayors campaign operation which now boasts more than 2,000 staffers, including many top Democratic campaign veterans.
Trumps 2020 campaign is concerned about Bloombergs spending, because they saw how much he helped Democrats in the 2018 midterm cycle, but theyre hoping to turn that strength into a weakness.

(34,195 posts)"The show, Fox and Friends, aired without commentary a new ad from Mr. Bloombergs team that is based on reporting from a new book, A Very Stable Genius, describing the language Mr. Trump used to excoriate military generals during a Pentagon meeting in 2017. The ad described him as erratic and pointed to the chaos in his administration.
The ad struck Mr. Trump, with its focus on a topic he has often been concerned about maintaining support among members of the military."

(146,281 posts)Bloomberg ads are running on it, like they are on all of the local network affiliates. I never watch the Fox News cable channel, but I'm sure there are no Bloomberg ads on it. There are on the local Fox TV station, though.
