Elizabeth Warren didn't fall for George Stephanopoulos Socialism trap

Elizabeth Warren did not allow ThisWeek's George Stephanopoulos to do Joe Biden's dirty work by having her tag and confront Bernie Sanders on Democratic Socialism. Her answers were smart, factual, and perfect.

Would require that directors have a (legal) duty to consider the interests of employees, customers, and the community, not just the bottom line.

4. Warren is the only one who always gives straight-forward, common sense, party-affirming answers.

If you ask her a question, she will give you the unvarnished truth without insulting you or refusing to answer or without wrapping her answer in nonsensical platitudes and corporate speak.

Both Biden's and Sanders' supporters both like her, and would flood to the polls in November to support her is she were the nominee.

8. There remains significant confusion over "socialism": "social democracy" vs "democratic socialism"
Mon Feb 10, 2020, 03:20 PM

The most successful form of socialism combines capitalism with the idea of social programs to benefit the common good-- it's typically called "social democracy" and it's adherents social Democrats-- the example nations that are social democracies are Norway, Finland and Sweden. "Social democracy is a political, social and economic philosophy that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a liberal democratic polity and a capitalist-oriented economy. The protocols and norms used to accomplish this involve a commitment to representative and participatory democracy, measures for income redistribution, regulation of the economy in the general interest and social welfare provisions."
Warren is closest to this ideology. Sanders seems to be more of a Democratic socialist. The difference is the latter desires a socially owned economy, while the former is fine with a market/capitalist economy.
