I have a serious question for you all. When picking a president its like taking home a partner to your mother. You want the most charming, caring, and best individual. So, of our candidates who u gon take home to yo mama? Would you pick Warren? Shes an awesome person who supports her kids and has great policies she wants to impliment. Would you rather bring Bernie home to meet your mother? Hes a bit fiesty, but he speaks his mind and his heart is in the right place. Woukd you bring home Pete? Hes charismatic, he tries to be understanding of everyone and while he has little experience he proposes a middle ground to stand upon. Would you take Amy home? Shes utterly capable and can get the job done, but... might just fire yo momma for being an incompetent cook. She dont play. What about Bloomberg? Momma loves that 50+bill, bu he might just stop and frisk lil momma down in da kitchen. Or would you pick Biden to take to your mother? Biden dont always say what he means and can upset some people when he doesnt mean to, but Generally many people like him. Plus, world wide there are others who know Joe and want the stability. I myself would prefer Pete, but really I dont think Joe is a good idea. Joe might get upset and tell yo momma shes a lying, dog faced pony soldier. That wont fly.

I know you meant that figuratively, but I have absolutely no desire to elect a president I could 'have a beer' with. I mean, think about W. Great guy. Fun. Probably grills a really mean burger. But that isn't my idea of what makes a good president, nor was he a good president.

Nope. I want someone smarter than me who understands both fiscal and monetary policy including the tax codes, and who has a good grip on foreign policy yet is committed to peace not war. I'd like my candidate to understand the relationship between Wall Street and Main Street, and deeply empathize with the people on Main Street.

I want my candidate to understand the healthcare system we have and be committed to serious progress on that, on climate change, on student debt, and on issues of social justice.

And I want them to have the personal charisma, social intelligence and leadership necessary to lead well, to set and articulate a national vision for us, and then to lead us (and Congress) there.

No taking them home to mother. Let's keep it formal and policy centered.

Of course! This was just stating my opinion of Joe in a joking manner. I appreciate that you want to make sure we don't focus on the wrong things when electing a president. I totally agree W was a terrible president.
