Trump urged his supporters last night to meddle in our NH primary. Fortunately those registered as

Republicans at this time can't.

Some technically closed primaries, like Iowa, allow people to switch party registration on that day.

But in New Hampshire a registered Republican would have had to switch their affiliation to Democrat or Undeclared several weeks before the primary, before the checklist is closed, to vote in the Democratic primary.

New voters can register at the polling place, and Undeclared voters can vote in either party's primary.

But Trump's request that his supporters meddle was weeks too late for most of them.

I don't know how many other primaries this is true of. Most of them, I hope, since Trump's likely to continue urging his supporters to meddle.

Most people know this already. NH is full of politically savvy people. And every NH voter knows they can remain independent by voting whatever party ballot they want and when checking out, they simply sign a checklist to return to undeclared party.

Republicans in the state use this tactic far more than Democrats do.

primary today, I would vote for:

That we have a president that would suggest such a thing is the unbelievable part. He is truly insane and despicable.
