Mike Bloomberg Slammed Over Unearthed Audio of Himself Defending Stop and Frisk: 'This is DisgustingMediaite
By Ken Meyer Feb 11th, 2020, 8:03 am Mike Bloomberg is facing political blowback after audio emerged of himself giving a full-throated defense of his stop and frisk policy as former New York City mayor. Progressive podcast host Benjamin Dixon uncovered audio of a speech Bloomberg gave to the Aspen Institute five years ago, which he blocked from public release at the time. In the address, Bloomberg spoke unapologetically in favor of stop and frisk while saying that cities need to “put a lot of cops in the streets,” particularly in “minority neighborhoods.” “Ninety-five percent of murders — murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take a description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city…And that’s where the real crime is.” snip

2. Very disturbing
This is very disturbing and the DNC should disqualify him.
Plenty of good Democrat candidates without this racist baggage. All he's doing is hurting Biden / Klobuchar chances, we don't need a Republican in the race regardless of how much $$$ he got. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

3. You don't even have to go back to 2015
He was still defending the policy in 2019. His epiphany came when he changed his mind and decided to run.
But I am sure his apology was true and sincere ![]() ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

4. I never trusted him from day one
I hope this goes nationwide so those that support him at least can evaluate with this information before it’s too late and he’s the nominee.

5. "Just throw them up against the wall and frisk them."
Bloomberg also used his speech to dismiss criticism from those who noted that stop and frisk caused a disproportionate amount of arrests for minorities over low-level offenses like marijuana possession. ![]() ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

9. Bloomberg is being vetted.
I thought vetting a candidate was necessary?

11. Not for me. I was warning against Bloomberg since last year.

What troubles me is how so many of Joe’s supporters are jumping ship and going all in for Bloomberg. I honestly don’t understand that. I thought Joe would keep his support at least through South Carolina if not the nomination. I don’t get why he’s losing so many to Bloomberg so quickly. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

In the mad dash to Bloomberg.

14. Money
Bloomberg has it. The other candidates don’t. People are willing to overlook Bloomberg’s racism and flip flopping as long as he spends enough money to remove Trump. I can’t be that fickle with my vote. Not in the primaries.

8. "Mike Bloomberg Slammed" by Sanders supporters
WOW - Bloomberg really worries the progressives.
Why all the mud slinging? All that mud will be thrown back in the fall by the GOP and used against the eventual Democratic nominee. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
