At this point why are people voting for candidates that have absolutely no chance?

I don't get it. James Carville is right and I'm scared to death as well. If we continue on this trajectory we are going the way of The British Labour Party which is into the abyss with four more years of Trump.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

After three horrific years of Trump, I'd expected that most Democratic voters would be more rational, being this is no time to take a gamble. It feels like the chaos and insanity is spreading. Maybe I'm just anxious about the election.

I see people (meaning Democrats) pulling closer together, supporting each others ideas, debating instead of arguing. Once the primaries are over and we have a clear candidate, I think we'll be okay. There will be some bruises and scrapes, but those will have to heal fast so we can get things done.

It's going to be a dirty fight in the general. All the hard feelings of the primary season will need to be put to rest immediately.
