I wonder why he is choosing to drop out now? I would imagine that he spent most of his money running ads in South Carolina -- why drop out before then?

Not that I am upset. I think this field needs to winnow instead of a bunch of lesser-polling candidates playing spoiler.

EDIT: I checked online and some reputable people are saying that they contacted the Steyer campaign and he is NOT dropping out. I will wait to see what happens...

His poll numbers are so much better in Nevada and South Carolina. I thought he would want to stay in and see how he did in those states. I thought that at the very least he would last through Nevada. He wasn't on the list of people who I expected to drop out tonight.

I expect Deval Patrick to drop out as well.

He contributed to the national conversation on important issues like climate change.

And he deserves a lot credit for the need to impeach campaign.
