(15,265 posts)So its is virtually a dead heat with Pete having a 2 delegate advantage but Bernie having the popular vote edge as a metric.
Bernie has some broad support. Time will tell.

(14,709 posts)not only ridiculing a woman who fell and hurt herself trying to distribute literature for Hillary but laughing and taunting her when she fell and was unable to get up. That was it for me. If his campaign relies on these young men. they and he are dead to me.

(115,270 posts)Buttigieg has more delegates, and is therefore the frontrunner where it matters. He probably won't be the nominee, but his victories show Bernie's support was pretty soft in states where it was assumed he'd clean up. Iowa's a caucus state - he was supposed to win there and he didn't. NH is right next door to his home state, and he only tied with Buttigieg for delegates. Not firm; kinda limp, actually.

If his supporters cant even handle this kind of criticism, just wait until the republican attack machine starts on him, and they are praying we nominate him...they have all they need to destroy him..

(637 posts)You need delegates to win the nomination. Buttigeig leads sanders by 2 (23 to 21). bernie ain't the front runner. He's
clearly in second place.

(19,549 posts)This would be like Buttigieg claiming he was clearly the front runner now. Which he kind of is, but I doubt he'll announce. It's all too tenuous.
PSA: Premature delegation isn't fun for any of the parties involved. It always leads to one person feeling too fulfilled and proud and another left wanting. Which often leads to self-fulfillment down the road by the other person. Which tends to not end well for the premature delegation candidate, their egos often get... deflated.
It's best to give this some time and let the active parties get their groove on and see how it fleshes out.
