But that will (probably) change after NV and SC. Super Tuesday is the first date upon which Democrats may find a modicum of certainty regarding their candidates.

A string of 2nd place finishes in the early-voting states is enough. It worked for Bill Clinton in 1992, and Mayor Pete seems to be following the same pattern.

Field is wide open heading forward. Expect Bernie to poll relatively stably while other candidates move up or down in ways we can't predict yet.

It reminds me of when my little sister was 6 years old. Whenever we watched horse races on television I would ask her in midstream to go up to the screen and point to the eventual winner.

She was no dummy. Even if it were a nose in front she would point to that horse and confidently exclaim. "Him!"
