If he doesnt do well, then in S.C. then he should drop out before Super Tuesday
In my view a similar situation applies to Warren, except her goal would be doing better than Bernie in S.C. and Nevada.

(10,721 posts)With so little support among POC and not much infrastructure in upcoming states, I still don't see a path for her. I pretty much feel the same way about Buttigieg, who has alienated Black folks.
Warren is done. Biden is in serious trouble but at least his must-win state is still ahead of him.
And Bloomberg is a disaster once people learn more about him, which they will once he has to actually campaign and debate (as opposed to just buying TV ads).

(1,773 posts)I agree that it's too early to count anyone out yet, especially Biden and Warren. That would be sheer lunacy.
I also agree that Warren's strategy isn't working. Time to recalibrate things a pinch if she wants to be in it for the long haul.
I would also add that Mayor Pete looks very formidable right now. His message is resonating and people genuinely like him. He definitely has that unmistakable "destiny's darling" vibe going for him right now that should be familiar to anyone who follows sports, when a team not especially favored to win anything in the preseason suddenly breaks out and starts playing championship caliber ball. We'll see if it lasts, but Buttigieg certainly isn't someone to be overlooked or dismissed, that's for damn sure.
