Pete Buttigieg's concise message on Health Care (this morning on MJ)

"If progressives are right that public coverage would be the best, then eventually everybody will choose it and it will become Medicare for All. This is a pathway to get there that has a little humility built into it, recognizing that if some people would rather keep their private plans, that's okay too. The goal shouldn't be to make sure that the government is providing everybody's coverage, the goal should be to make sure everybody gets excellent coverage, no matter what. And on issue after issue after issue we share the same goals. What I'm offering is a way to do it that can actually get achieved, that is paid for, and that the really important ting to."

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

excited to see that outcome!

Now per se that VP Biden is the underdog at this point, I'm truly rooting for him too.

You put in a public option and people will flock to it and eventually then you will have a single payer system.

Nothing will happen until we cut ties with the health care lobby and go to war against it on behalf of the people. Right now, we can’t even get a surprise medical billing fix with bipartisan support through Congress. That, by the way, was killed by a Democrat who takes money from Blackstone, whose interests were threatened by the bill. Blackstone hearts Buttigieg. Google “Tony James and Pete Buttigieg” and you’ll get an idea how empty this so-called concise talk is.

....are too stupid to know what's best for them.

Fortunately, Warren isn't trying that argument.

People are not too stupid to figure that one out. In a world of every man for himself, the Culinary Union’s position makes sense. Pete is cashing in politically on a world of failure. He’ll take every dollar he can in the meantime from vultures like Blackstone who use their money and influence to kill sensible HC legislation that would actually help people. Sorry if I can’t get on the admiration train.
