Warren its time to say goodbye

I love you & your policies but staying in the race at this point is not for the American people it is for yourself.

A 3rd place finish in Iowa then losing more ground and finishing 4th with 9% in NH, a neighboring state to your home state.

Currently polling at 3rd or 4th in Nevada & 4th in South Carolina. There is no state on the map that the campaign can point to and say they will win. There is no road to victory at this point.

This only hurts you politically. You will be taking up space on the debate stage for candidates that still have a chance to win.

I would be making the same case for Joe but he is currently ahead in South Carolina & Nevada. He is also in top 2 in national polling. There is a path to winning the nomination. I would actually say a strong one. If he wins Nevada and South Carolina you will hear all the "comeback kid" talk and he will have lots of momentum.

But nobody can look at what has happen and look at the numbers for future states and make a case that Warren has any shot.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Liz Warren should be treasured and appreciated for what she is - a female leader who's not afraid to speak up and speak out. She gets it, she's walking the walk. I love Liz but I don't see her as our Party's nominee this year. I hate the way Hillary was treated by the Repukes 4 years ago, and I don't want to see the same bad behavior against Liz this year.

I believe Liz will bow out in another month (maybe) but I don't want her to give up the fight against the Repukes. There's too much at stake this year.

"We’re staying in this fight for the people who are counting on us"

This isn't about people counting on her - its about being honest of the situation.

I like Warren and to me its sad. Its sad seeing lots of these candidates drop out because I like so many. I liked Harris a lot. Booker. Yeah it stinks but its how it works.

Sticking around is not the honorable thing to do and it hurts the party. We need to start coming together on one candidate and having people hang on that have no shot just muddies the water.

My son was upset Yang dropped out. That was his guy.

I will call for Pete to drop out if he does not preform well in SC & Nevada and Super Tuesday looks bleak. Same with Amy. The field needs to narrow.

Unfortunately one must be pragmatic. We have no way of knowing Sanders health status and he had a very recent heart attack.

He and Warren have some overlap in education and health care delivery. Should Sanders have to drop out due to health, the people wanting those initiatives would be without a standard bearer weeks in advance of Super Tuesday.

I. think t would be irresponsible for Warren to leave now for other than financial reasons

Just because they want to go first doesn't mean all the other states and territories should have to just go along with that BS.

They're a small, white state. Completely unrepresentative of the country. Yet after a year of campaigning and investment, political fortunes rise and fall overnight there and in Iowa. Really?

With the eyes of the world on us, and with all this sturm und drang about the Democratic results in two completely unrepresentative and not even necessarily blue states, America's election system just keeps looking stupider and stupider.

As she pointed out, she's the only one who draws from both the moderate and progressive side of the party. Let's watch SC and Nevada. Maybe it will be Warren and Bloomberg and Klobuchar and Warren will be the uniter.

I am a big believer in Warren, but her missteps and the lack of a progressive wave have closed the door for her.

Sanders is not realistic to me. Biden has failed to show he can build a competitive machine in two presidential runs so far.

So I'm happy with Pete or Amy now.

... I hope Elizabeth stays in and considers a revision. The worst was not doing better in a state very near her base - a neighboring state. I thought she "won" the battle over the "woman can't be president" comment and I was wrong... he went up and she went down. At first, i couldn't understand it, but I think it may be because she dropped the issue too easily... I thought that was good at the time, but maybe she should have been stronger about that issue... my first favorite was Kamala with Elizabeth not far behind. I hope she considers a new approach and gets another look. She has been counted out before... I'd like to see her consider what has happened and how she might revise and continue.

Disproportionate attention to a statistically absurdly low sample of voters who aren't demographically representative of the country as a whole, and their choices dictate who is left when voters in my state get to have a say.

I honestly cannot remember a primary when my first choice candidate made it to my state's primary day. Ever. I've lived in five states since turning 18, and I'm 51. Have never been able to cast a vote for my preferred Democratic candidate. That's sick.

IA and NH don't represent the whole of America (in more ways than one). Warren is a serious candidate, with extensive experience, thorough policy positions, and a national organization. Without putting too fine a point on it, let me just note that the same cannot be said of all the candidates who did well in IA and NH.

I don't know how to fix the primary system, but letting IA and NH pick their flavor of the month and forcing the rest of the country to narrow their choices accordingly is ridiculous.

She took 3rd place, which is respectable. But she needed to follow that up by at least taking 2nd in New Hampshire. Instead she came in a distant 4th place. And that pretty much finished off her campaign.

Pete has won a state and almost upset Bernie in NH coming in a close 2nd. So he should move on to the next round. But if he fails to keep doing good after SC and polling on Super Tuesday looks bleak I 100% agree with you. He should step down

I sort of think Amy should now but she is carrying momentum with the media so she should probably play out the next 2 states. I never knew a distance 3rd place finish you get treated like you won.

After two states you want her to drop out? You know this is a CLASSIC example of why states like my, IN, get SCREWED by this primary system. Sometimes by the time we get to vote, the candidate we really like has already dropped out because of the "Iowa," "New Hampshire," and "Super Tuesday" turnouts! There should be a national primary day, winner takes all.

For the record, while the rest of my family and many of my friends may have Mayor Pete as their first choice, he isn't mine and I would really like the opportunity to vote mine.

Finally, my disclaimer, I will do in this election as I did in 2016 for this election, when I did vote for Bernie in the primary and backed Hillary to the end once she was the nominee. While I will not vote for in the 2020 primary for Bernie, if he gets the nomination I will enthusiastically support and vote for them.

I urge everyone to do this same. Vote for who you love in the primary (or who you dislike least..don't care) but for all that's dear vote Democratic straight ticket in the election. Do not sit home and do not vote 3rd party.
