Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumNH primary has record turnout!
With 96% of precincts reporting, I just calculated NH total primary votes to be 293,550. This total will increase as the final votes trickle in.
This beats the previous record which was Obama vs. Hillary in 2008 with 288,672 votes cast.
2016 was 254,776.
Edit: note this is "record Democratic turnout" just to be clear.

(10,749 posts)The Democratic vote in NH 2016 was 348,526, so the turnout yesterday is a pretty high percentage of overall turnout for the generatl election. How many more Democrats will turn out for the general this year. Also, in 2016 the votes for the remaining candidates was about 50,000.
Sadly, Hillary only barely carried NH in 2016. Maybe this year will change that.

(3,277 posts)They would have had to change their registration a while back. Undeclared votes could have voted in the Democratic Primary but from what I've seen, their percentages aligned pretty much with how Democrats voted.
Your 2016/2020 numbers are off as well.
