(129,960 posts)Is that the same as a corporeal Democrat, which I assume all of us are? If I own stock in a corporation am I a corporate Democrat? Is it OK if that stock is in my 401K or retirement portfolio or does owning those things make me a corporate Democrat? If I work for a corporation am I one? I used to work for a Fortune 500 corporation (and owned stock in it), but I also was once self-employed and before that I worked for the government, so has my corporateness varied throughout my life? Would I have to be a CEO to be a corporate Democrat, and if so, how big would the corporation have to be? I can file some paperwork with the Secretary of State, pay $120 and voila, I'm the CEO of a very tiny corporation. Am I therefore a corporate Democrat? Or would my corporation have to be listed on the NYSE or NASDQ?
Are all corporations bad? Would you abolish them? Which policies of Democrats "represent" corporations? All corporations or just large ones? How large? Both Exxon and Joe's Bait & Tackle, or just Exxon? Why? How?
"Corporate Democrat" is just as meaningless as "centrist Democrat." Either you can articulate why you don't agree with a particular candidate's policies or you can't, and if you can't it's a whole lot easier to just slap a name on them that you think is insulting.
