Bloomberg? I don't think so.

Bloomberg got enough money that Bernie could probably get it from him the same way he plans to take it from other Billionaire.

You guys love to have it both ways. You love to demonize the Democrats. When it's not "the establishment" it's the centrist/moderate Dems but then have no problem running to the Dem party to make a run for president. The Democratic party should only allow candidates who have been members of the party for some length of time, let's a two years (one congressional term) before running for major national office as a party member. The primary is for us to choose who we, as party members, want as President, not an open election for anyone - that's called a General Election. I also oppose the insanity of open primaries. I've felt that way for the entire time I've been involved, since Jimmy's first run.

I am undecided. Sanders is not my first choice. But considering what James Carville was and what James Carville has become, I'd say Sanders is closer to right than wrong on this topic, at least at this point in time.

He's always had a reputation for activism and aggressiveness, which was probably better served when the target was the Bush administration and Lou Dobbs (a frequent target) and not fellow Democrats, the DNC, and the party in general.

Nate Silver wrote this about him in 2009:

"But if someone wants to marshal an army to fight a battle of wills while playing fast and loose with the truth and using some of the same demagogic precepts that the right wing does, I am not particularly interested in that. In fact, I think it is acutely dangerous."*

Seems not much has changed.

Most campaigns, and especially Bernie's, have no real strategy at all. Or bad strategy, if any. "Rich people bad" is not a valid election strategy. Our candidates need to be smart and actually work to win.

Joe Biden

78. Carville is right -A Sanders candidacy simply guarantees a Trump second term
Thu Feb 13, 2020, 03:08 PM

I agree with this part of the endorsement which also agrees with Carville

Sanders is the only clear non-starter. It’s impossible not to regard the Vermont senator in a Trumplike mold—he seldom has shown an ability to build consensus and threatens to use executive orders extensively, just like Trump. It’s also doubtful he could assemble a highly qualified Cabinet, meaning he’d essentially be the left wing version of Trump: isolated, angry, unable to work with others and showing too little respect for dissenting opinions. A Sanders candidacy simply guarantees a Trump second term.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
