I could have missed it. He did say he would put his business in a blind trust.

The only downside about having so many ads, is that it is hard to see which are the ones hitting Trump or him giving speeches on policy. There are a lot of them.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Politicians are not obliged to disclose their tax returns, although many, including President Obama, do so. Mr. Bloomberg takes a middle road, allowing reporters to view, but not to take with them, a redacted version of his returns. Mr. LaVorgna said that disclosing the full returns would allow competitors of Mr. Bloomberg’s media company to learn too much about its business practices.

Next year, as a private citizen, Mr. Bloomberg will presumably not disclose any part of his tax returns, so this year was the last chance for a glimpse — if not much of one — at the waxing of his $27 billion fortune, estimated in March by Forbes magazine, which ranked him as the world’s 13th richest person.

In the forms given to reporters, actual numbers are replaced by letters, each designating a range of values, the highest being “G,” which signifies $500,000 or more. From the forms, then, it is possible to say only that Mr. Bloomberg paid at least $1.5 million in federal, state and city income taxes. He also paid at least $1.5 million in taxes to foreign countries.

Each year, Mr. Bloomberg’s staff discloses his income tax rate before deducting his considerable charitable contributions from his taxable income. In 2012, his federal income tax rate, before deductions, was 34.69 percent. His state tax rate was 8.82 percent, and his city rate was 3.88 percent.
