As Warren Gains in Race, Wall Street Sounds the Alarm
... (Wall Street) is more or less united against Ms. Warren. With just months before the first voting begins, it is unleashing a barrage of public attacks, donating money to her rivals and scrambling to counter her blistering narrative about Wall Street.
Everyone is nervous, said Steven Rattner, a prominent Democratic donor who manages the wealth of Michael R. Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor. What scares the hell out of me is the way she would fundamentally change our free-enterprise system.

17 days later, Micheal Bloomberg announced his candidacy for president.

These vulture capitalists target businesses and strip out the assets as they shed employees. It is happening right now in the newspaper industry, and in many other places. Often, these PEFs set up a shell company after they strip out the assets, leaving the liabilities with the shell companies, and ultimately, with the PBGB.

In my view, misogyny is a large part of why Warren is not doing well, but a huge part is her well known philosophy that capitalism must be strictly regulated to protect the 99% from the 1% of sociopathic billionaires. Thus the well funded attacks on her positions.

(7,113 posts)He lands on the ideological spectrum to the right of Bill Clinton and possibly Joe Lieberman, as well.
So, of course he and his billionaire friends don't cotton to Elizabeth Warren.
The funny thing is that, as much time as he spends on Morning Joe ragging on Warren, he rarely does the same about Sanders.
I wonder why that is.

(11,045 posts)but I want a woman president. If Amy can build on NH momentum, I'm all in. Pete, for all his talents has never had to deal with the poisonous nest of vipers that likes to call itself the United States Congress.
"she couldn't get out from Bernie's shadow". Elizabeth should have distanced herself from Sanders earlier than she did.
There is remarkable symmetry between Amy & Elizabeth's results. IA should have been Klobuchar's best state - she came 5th, Warren 3rd. Come NH, the results were reversed. Warren came 4th, but given the resources she devoted to NH, it was as good as 5th.
