Buying media airtime is not cheap nor is hiring the best staff to work on a campaign.

We don't have time to exchange the perfect for the good as to maintain electoral purity. We need to deal with money in politics, but can attack it once the democratic party has power again. We would be idiots to hamstring ourselves by forgoing possible legal sources of funding.

We don't need a few big contributors controlling our agenda. What we need to do is promote programs that benefit everybody, not just the very rich who can afford to contribute so much. And of course the solution to this is campaign finance reform and the repeal of Citizens United.

Let me amend and put it this way. Maybe this will provide some life support to Joe's campaign. Maybe he'll get a boost from South Carolina. But beyond that, he's cooked. My gut tells me he won't and can't win and this just exacerbates his negatives.

The guest list shows there will be at least 280 attendees split between the two events and each have contributed $2,800 to gain entrance. Nobody has dropped out of attending, these people noted.

The fundraisers come at a key moment for Biden’s campaign. They indicate that the former vice president still has the support and at least some confidence of big-money donors on Wall Street and in other industries. Biden is going to need to keep raking in the cash to have the necessary resources to win the South Carolina primary Feb. 29 and to perform well during the 14 primaries on Super Tuesday, March 3.

Yet the donors’ support might not be guaranteed for long. Many of the Thursday attendees have privately acknowledged that they would throw their support toward former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s campaign if Biden doesn’t have success in the Nevada caucuses Feb. 22 and the South Carolina primary.

Shuffled back to the rear of the pack, he attempted to make a charge but drifted far right and look dirt to the face, following that set back, it looks like at the eighth pole Biden just doesn't have the stuff to win today, it looks to be a tight race heading towards the wire, but Biden just ran out of gas.
