The Culinary Union, through the Culinary Health Fund, is one of the largest healthcare consumers in the state. It provides health insurance coverage for over 130,000 Nevadans, the Culinary Union’s members and their dependents.

The Culinary Union is Nevada’s largest immigrant organization with members who come from 178 countries and speak over 40 different languages. We are proud to have helped over 18,000 immigrants become American citizens and new voters since 2001 through our affiliate, The Citizenship Project.

The Culinary Union has a diverse membership -- approximately 55% women, 54% Latinx, 19% White, 15% Asian, 10% Black, and less than 1% Indigenous Peoples — and consists of guest room attendants, cocktail and food servers, porters, bellmen, cooks, bartenders, laundry and kitchen workers. Calling a press conference to say “we aren’t endorsing” would be stupid as it wastes people’s time.

....using fake union pins to get into workers' private dining rooms at hotels on the strip in Las Vegas. They weren't going to endorse Clinton because back in 2008 Bill Clinton did some "offensive" things during the primary campaign.

I'm not a strict follower of all the in's & out's and who says what, so maybe I missed something.

But I believe that Sanders is pro-union in general, and the demographics of the group matches many that would be his supporters... Just a guess though...

I guess we shall see. i would think that this endorsement would be big for whomever they pick though.
