I can't help but hope that Biden wins SC. There is just something so wrong about what has been inflicted on him and his family and I truly do believe he is the decent, honorable, and highly dedicated public servant that I've admired all my life.

So, no matter what comes afterward, is it too much to hope that he will get (at least) that big nod?

Sorry but this is politics, and we don't give out participation trophies. I want Biden to either win the nomination solidly or get out.

Hoping for an outcome does NOT equate to advocating for "participation trophies" and I strongly defend the other poster's comment against such a truly unwarranted and condescending response.

Party may very well partially tear itself apart if, at the end of the day, Bernie has a decent-sized plurality, say over 40% but under 50%, and yet is denied the nomination if he above Bloomberg by a 10 point or so margin.

We are headed into uncharted and dangerous waters if things break the wrong way, and there are many wrong ways.

If certain scenarios start to play out, I surely would not want to be in President Obama's shoes, as he will begin to be put under tremendous pressure to take some sort of interventionist stance by many quarters. Buttigieg and Klobuchar and even Warren, if none of them can catch fire with minority voters, will also be under tremendous pressure.

going on is like trying to catch a falling knife.

Biden is the biggest variable atm. Of that I feel a bit more sure of. If he crushes it on Super Tuesday, then the nomination is far more likely his at that point then any other candidate. If Bloomberg has a terrible ST on top of that, I think he drops out and tosses his cash behind Biden.
