My proposal for revising the Democratic presidential primary process

We hold four regional primaries all on the same day. And the top 2 finishers in each region go on to the national primary and whoever gets the most votes in the national gets the nomination.
Candidates can choose any region they want to compete in, but they can only be in one region.
The benefits of this is that a more diverse, bigger electorate gets to have a say early on in the process. Obviously, this will favor candidates with deep pockets, but it will favor candidates that can build organizations over time. See Bernie Sanders. Old fashion organizing can, and does, compete with money.

My plan would also allow African Americans and Latinos a bigger voice earlier on in the nomination process. For example, many candidates would chose to run in the Southern regional primary. Media would be cheaper, and the African American vote is concentrated in the South. It would also boost "favorite son/daughter" campaigns. Stacey Abrams would be a favorite in the Southern primary.
