My point is that Americans as a general rule don't make fun of people overall. We're overall nice to each other. Maybe in jest, or for comedy, and it's also a tool to convince others of other viewpoints in a less hostile manner, but we don't go around and laugh at people's conditions, and other such stuff. 20. As mayor of NYC, a city with a large gay population, that was little more than a

photo op for him. No one ever accused him of not being a skillful or intuitive politician.

However, his twelve-year long abuse (and defense of that abuse) of the civil rights of POC says all you need to know about what this man is at his core. And that's not something that can be summarily dismissed by his apologists (paid or otherwise) as some minor, microscopic peccadillo from his past, as they seemingly want to do with all the horrible shit this man has done and said, even up until a couple of years ago.
