Bloomberg VP

Who do you think would make a good VP on the potential Bloomberg ticket? Harris or Booker May be good picks as they know DC and are in safe states. Perhaps someone from the Midwest to shore up Ohio, Wisconsin or Michigan. sherrod Brown or Dan Kildee?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He needs someone (who is pre-vetted by running in major campaigns) to help him navigate Congress.

young, well-spoken, high energy, African American--I can't figure out why he didn't get more traction, frankly, but he and Bloomberg would also seem compatible.

... in what Palin was to McCain voters (the smart middle class PoC version though)

She'll have nearly as much backing from pop culture politico as Obama did and that's saying A LOT.

He can name her now and he'd be president in 2021, I doubt he would because he sounds like he doesn't like PoC from his statements made so far.

Harris is solid. Do you think MO would want to get back in? She’d be an asset as a cabinet member for sure, HHS would be a great fit!

That bull on Wall St. might be a perfect match, but, darn it isn't alive. Oh, maybe Charles Koch would make a strong VP choice? Is Bill Gates interested? Bezos already has his own kingdom and Zuckerberg does too, but he is way too young. I am sure someone wealthy would step up to the plate in order to help turn things around.

Since corporations are people, maybe we are ready for a first: Bloomberg/Amazon - 2020? Out in the LOBBY they laugh about things like that.

I am aware of the platform the Bloomberg is creating.

Trump was going to make Mexico pay for his wall, etc., etc., I am not sure how well a fox will take care of the chicken coup, though, but hey, why not? It might work out great.

I like what Bloomberg is doing in regards to Trump, but I am highly skeptical about his real motives as a serious candidate.

Sigh. If it is going come down to something like a double-bind, I will vote blue no matter what. Sigh again. That feels like, opportunism, wealth and manipulation walk into a bar and...

Perhaps I will say this wrong, but the equity markets are important to our financial systems, they generate wealth for a big chunk of us whether as corporations, individuals or as pensions and annuity holders. But it has to be fair and I believe that is the approach Bloomberg has. I realize wall st is a huge target, but reform is far superior to blowing it up.

I can't argue with reform. I think you make a good point there.

I do question just how much of the market generate wealth for how many of us, though. I see a major decoupling of the markets and the large, growing number of marginalized individuals in our population, even though I understand the impact on pensions and annuity holders, etc., and how that matters in that case. So my contention is about how individuals are realizing that wealth and its translation into a real world economic value for us all.

Do you think those reforms will have any impact on that? And yes, blowing it up won't work. It reminds me of the "face hugger" in the movie Alien, if you try to remove it it chokes the host and cuts off its oxygen. If you cut it, it bleeds a potent, hihgly corrosive acid that eats through anything.

So, as to illustrate the distinction, this is my main concern regarding that:
