Stress can do that to you. I don't think it will happen again. I think she probably has some helpers who advise her on de-stressing herself regularly (I don't mean with alcohol or drugs). I do hope there are natural strategies that can be used in such cases. (I personally would recommend swimming, if she has an indoor pool available...it's a great exercise, very de-stressing and not hard on the aging bones).

I'm betting that she knew the name and had a lapse. Happens sometimes when people are harried in campaign season. Not the first or last candidate to slip up during a campaign. I remember some speaking gaffs that Hillary made in her appearances.

carrying on past Super Tuesday. She's already on that ballot, so why not let it go until March 4. I suspect, though, that after the South Caroline primary, it will be clear to her that there is no path to the nomination. I suspect she already knows that.

I still like her as a VP nominee, though. I think she'd be pretty much ideal for a moderate nominee to pick.

Given four or eight years as VP, and I think she'd be primed for becoming President. She's good, but just a little too provincial at this point, I believe. I think she needs more exposure to the broader national picture before running for President.

That's how I've felt all along, and I like her a great deal, indeed. She'd be the only presidential candidate I ever met on the way up.

How is she going to sit there now and say that she wasn't aware of the information when you just talked about it on The View not even a week ago? It's BS.

I've been side eyeing her for a while now with her little digs at Buttigieg. But I'm really questioning her now after reading more about her past record. I don't trust her.

Sun Feb 16, 2020, 11:07 PM

The defendant was tried and convicted twice. Amy was not involved in the second prosecution.

On appeal, the defendant claimed he had witnesses to support him, but they recanted or failed to show. Even after multiple continuances were given. Amy has called for a further review, and that’s the appropriate step.

The case info is here. For those who want FACTS and not a drive by smear job.

https://cases.justia.com/minnesota/supreme-court/2015-a13-1769.pdf?ts=1423072899

On July 17, 2013, the postconviction court denied Burrell’s postconviction petition. The court determined that Burrell had “provided virtually no additional evidence,” and that the substance of any new evidence was “highly speculative” and “likely cumulative.” The court concluded that it had provided Burrell with opportunities to present evidence from the witnesses, time for counsel to explore possible remedies to secure the witnesses’ testimony, and multiple continuances. The court also held that it had no authority to issue a bench warrant for Brown’s failure to appear at the March 26 or March 27, 2013, hearings because Brown had not been properly served with a subpoena for those dates

Warren claimed she is the only person running with executive experience

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she was the only White House hopeful who has spent any time in the executive branch on government at an Iowa rally, seemingly forgetting about.....oh you know....the VICE PRESIDENT....

https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=Awr9IkmhEEpe6zsA0KrBGOd_;_ylu=X3oDMTEyc3FiZmNmBGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjg2OTJfMQRzZWMDc3I-/RV=2/RE=1581941025/RO=10/RU=https%3a%2f%2fwww.washingtonexaminer.com%2fnews%2fwarren-claims-she-is-the-only-person-running-with-executive-experience/RK=2/RS=wGm0UhJEBbnTilg3DtDL5TbO6xk-

“That’s a really good question. Let me remind you, I think, I’m the only one running for president whose actually been on the executive side,” Warren said Friday evening. “Remember, after the consumer agency was passed into law, Barack Obama, President Obama, asked me to set it up. So I set up a federal agency. We effectively went from two employees the day I walked in the door to about 1000 and spent a year getting it up and operational.”…

Give me a break with this stuff. Amy didn’t know a name. Warren forgot about our own Vice President. Every candidate has such moments.

federal agency from scratch - even having to fight against some Democrats while doing so?

Yes, he was Veep and, IMO, a good one, so long as President Obama was in the Oval Office. He also received nearly unanimous Democratic support at the time. But he derives his luster primarily from that association.

What exactly did he DO on his own then that compares with Warren's experience?

Warren may have misspoken, which I am not sure of because you are citing a RW news source (the Washington Examiner), but she was not completely off the mark even if she did say this.

You're using "what-aboutism" here. Not a good look to justify Amy's misstep.

and this one.

But I will say, as cringe worthy as that interview was I would be less into it if she hadn't on more than one occasion stated that my candidate is only on the stage because he is a white male (never mind that gays can be fired from their jobs in 29 states, denied the ability to rent apartments and adopt children in 29 states, denied service in eateries in 29 states etc). That is why this matters.

It is no vice to demand a lot from our own candidates. I don't expect a potential president to know every detail of a country's internal politics, even of the most consequential/notable countries, but this interview showed a lack of preparation.
