I think Bloomberg pretty much already has what he wants.

From here on, it's win-win for him.

And I think that, like [Redacted], he's not really running to win the office of President.

In an odd kind of way, I find his big, loud investment in kicking [Redacted] to the curb somewhat reassuring. Because the way it adds up to me is this:

A very powerful oligarch with a ton of resources and pretty good smarts clearly feels as though buying leverage within the Democratic Party is a very timely investment right now.

I don't know what numbers he's running or what sources he's tapping, but I suspect if he thought the Kremlin was going to walk away with the next election, he'd be finding ways to convince Putin's Puppet to give him a piece of the action.

Just sayin'.

He's playing for LEVERAGE.

In the DEMOCRATIC Party.

So it does cheer me up. And even if he wins, I'm thinking he'll go for the Benevolent Incremental Reformer with a few high-profile economic populist cookies that don't cost him personally too much.

I would prefer someone with a deeper commitment to longer-term, harder-edged economic reform, but I could live with Reform Lite.

Especially in contrast to the alternative.

(Standard disclaimer: No, this doesn't mean I like him or even that I'm planning to vote for him in my state's primary which will take place long after the matter is settled anyway.)

interestedly,
Bright

Seriously?

You think he's doing it to get some action from Putin's Puppet?

I think if he thought the deal was done for four more years of [Redacted], that's what he'd be doing.

And he's not.

I'm not a fan, but I have some respect for his risk/benefit assessment calculator.

explicatorially,
Bright
