(52,155 posts)An openly gay man won the Iowa Caucus (by the way it has been and still is measured) and he got nothing like the coverage that Obama got when he won in 2008. To be fair, Iowa is a lot to blame in this regard, but still the media narratives are nothing alike in those two victories. Now Pete also took 2nd in New Hampshire (quite nearly winning) while Klobuchar got double what any poll said she would while Sanders scraped by in a state that he won by 22 points 4 years ago. Despite the fact that Pete is leading in delegates, won one contest and took second in the other he isn't being treated like a front runner in any press accounts at all.
