Sadly it seems it someone was to come to DU for the 1st time

they would think from reading the posts there are no Democratic candidates worth voting for. Let's talk about the qualities of your preferred candidate not the faults of the others. Leave that to republicans and the "fair" media. Vote blue no matter who.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

And remember, "attacks" will be countered by a candidate's supporters. It's human nature.

Senator Warren: Her long time commitment to economic justice for blacks and poor people. Watching her surgically take a part the Wells Fargo CEO was a sight to behold. She speaks about the things that keep me up at night. Criminal justice, while important is not the only thing that black people are concerned with. I don't think I have heard anyone speak as passionately as she has about the risks for black pregnant women and the discrimination black people face within healthcare overall. Predatory lending from banks.
My dad was part of the law suit brought against Honda for giving higher interest rates to blacks. And it wasn't because of credit or income. Those are the things that keep me up at night and IMO, she is the best person to tackle those issues.

VP Joe Biden: As an elder statesman, with the most foreign policy experience, I think he would be the most trusted to return normalcy with our allies and make sure we are again respected and trusted as leaders of the free world.

Senator Sanders: I love the fight in him. We need a fighter for the people, and I see that in Sen Sanders. For true change to happen in this country, we do need to dismantle and change the way things have been done. Not someone that will just compromise with big business so they get what they want and we the people get crumbs.

Senator Klobuchar: I think she is a middle of the road person, its a positive and negative for me but there will need to be some give and take in some matters and I think she is the one person best able to achieve that and bring most of America along without compromising too much for the people.

Mayor Pete: He's willing to have discussion with those that disagree with him without being flippant or defensive. I do think that is an important quality. No president is going to get everything right. Its important for me that when things are pointed out that the president listen and try to understand and not shut his ears and pretend that he did everything right or its not happening at all.
