Democratic Primaries

Bloomberg/Obama (Michelle) with the big guy campaigning and eventually becoming a member of SCOTUS.
I think with the Bloomberg commercials showing President Obama supporting the former this is a distinct possibility.

(571 posts)Obama has never been that close with Bloomberg. Bloomberg is trying to make it seem that Obama is endorsing him, but he really isn't. Every candidate has similar clips with Obama complimenting them.
Michelle Obama would be nobody's vice president, and certainly not Bloombergs.

Bloomberg is a dangerous choice.

Bloomberg is a dangerous choice.
Mix Bloomie's brains, money and authoritative bent (e.g. stop and frisk) with the current executive privilege of the Executive Presidency and you have the makings of a wannabe dictator.
People should stop and think before voting for a Bloomberg advertisement as him being a Democratic savior.
You really want the Democratic "party of the working man" to be run by a top 1% Lion of Wall Street uber-capitalist? Seriously?
Bloomie is just trying to take advantage of an opening where he can buy more power than he has ever wet-dreamed of for a good price. He ran as a Republican to get the Mayorship of New York City. He is just a dangerous opportunist.

(25,857 posts)A few years ago people were in ecstasy over the possibility that Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg would run for office. In more recent years people think Chelsea Clinton would run for office.
If people are interested in running for office they do so. Fantasizing about some dream candidate takes time away from actually supporting a real candidate.

(25,857 posts)There are a number of decently qualified people running, and trying to rope in someone who has zero interest hardly counts as putting aside selfish interests and serving.

(1,773 posts)being stopped and frisked by Bloomberg's police department in the early-2000's than of her ever serving as his running mate for anything.
Michelle Obama could be President on her own if she so desired. In fact, if she were running this year. She'd easily be 50 percentage points ahead in the primaries of whomever was in 2nd place, including my main man Bernie.
I honestly wish she had run. None of us would've been asked to sell our souls or compromise everything we traditionally believe as Democrats as the price for victory if she had. She'd easily trounce Dotard while upholding all of or values as Democrats. Imagine that?
Oh well....
