People forget how poorly presented her campaign was. It lacked message and focus. Her biggest headlines were for attacking Biden and promoting issues that aren’t important to most voters. She sank for a reason.

What’s Bloomberg’s message? And voters are flocking to him.

I wish Harris would have remained in the race. Warren would still be my first choice, but Harris would have been a strong second. As things stand, my second is Klobuchar. But not because I like Klobuchar, by a process of elimination.

Harris would have made a formidable candidate against the blob. I wish she could have hung in there.

13. Harris had a problem of not knowing where she stood, before she got her major look.

Harris had a Huge amount of interest coming in. What she didn't have was a firm understanding of what the shape of her policy would be. That prevented her from having a firm footing to work from. She had thought a lot about how she would win, but she would have been well served to spend some time thinking about Why. So we saw a tactical campaign that was dependent on the moment.
Harris needed the least amount of policy of almost any of the candidates, She was almost perfectly positioned to start out as the Bridge between the factions. She had the perfect foils to do that as both Amy and Liz were policy heavy. Her basic message could easily have been I'll do everything that Amy offers while pushing for everything that Liz wants.

Because the moment came at the first debate she never had time to develop that message, unlike Buttigieg. Buttigieg had time between his interest surge and his Look to pivot from the locked down progressive to the more open moderate. He knew enough that he couldn't straddle with his persona.

20. Kamala's fatal flaw was her top campaign organization.
Tue Feb 18, 2020, 03:23 PM
Feb 2020

"“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly,” Ms. Mehlenbacher wrote, assailing Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Harris’s sister, Maya, the campaign chairwoman, for laying off aides with no notice. “With less than 90 days until Iowa we still do not have a real plan to win.”

The 2020 Democratic field has been defined by its turbulence, with some contenders rising, others dropping out and two more jumping in just this month. Yet there is only one candidate who rocketed to the top tier and then plummeted in early state polls to the low single digits: Ms. Harris."
