Bloomberg campaign writes off BidenTALLAHASSEE Mike Bloombergs campaign said the Democratic presidential race is down to a two-man contest and Joe Biden isnt one of the men in the mix.
The former vice presidents fortunes have plummeted so much since his back-to-back losses in Iowa and New Hampshire that only Bloomberg is polling strongly enough to challenge the Democrats front-runner, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Bloomberg states director Dan Kanninen said Tuesday.
Mike is quite clearly in a strong second place in this primary and rising rapidly above the rest of the field, which is either stagnant or declining quickly, Kanninen told reporters on a conference call. None of the other Democrats beside Mike or Bernie is in a position to amass delegates in a serious way on Super Tuesday. ..
Biden spokesperson Andrew Bates said it was a jarring but unsurprising level of arrogance for Kanninen to suggest that Bloombergs position in the primary campaign is solid or assured."

(3,649 posts)His personal and political history are enough evidence that he actually cares about normal people like me. Bloomberg, on the other hand, is in his own stratosphere when it comes to wealth. I find it very hard to believe someone like that could empathize with a person who is in the middle class or in poverty.

(19,581 posts)Biden isnt out, and Bloomberg isnt in. Many people resent him trying to buy the office of President.

This is a real mis-step for the Bloomberg campaign IMO. It's extremely arrogant and it's not in harmony with his focus on Trump and his pledge to back whomever the nominee is. It's also a good way to piss off Democrats attracted to Biden who would naturally flow to Bloomberg if Joe fell into trouble, but he's not there yet.
