***BREAKING*** NBC-WSJ POLL--- Biden 52% -Trump 44% BIGGEST LEAD OF ALL

https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6779408/200085-NBCWSJ-February-Poll.pdf

Maybe we need to give him a strong second look. Ridding America of Trump should be every decent person's raison d'etre! I truly have no dog in this fight. My raison d'etre is defeating Trump. I do believe some are better equipped for that task than others.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Polls like this are blended into the mix. That's fine. There are always outliers. But an 8 point lead over an incumbent does not represent the United States of America in 2020.

I posted the same thing repeatedly in fall 2018 when some polls were insisting 6 or 8 point leads for Gillum and Nelson. I remember one thread in particular, titled something like, "Why are we doing so well in Florida?" I replied. "We're not."

Bet on politics for 28 years and very quickly it is obvious which polls are outright garbage. I'm sure I'll be laughing at some of the Alaska polls later this year. As always, that state is the worst polled state in the nation. We had a thread here recently mentioning that a Democrat hadn't been competitive in South Carolina in forever. Okay, then why weren't the rest of you laughing at Rachel Maddow in early fall 2016 when she was grinning ear to ear while waving a fresh South Carolina poll and exclaiming, "If Hillary only trails Donald Trump by 4 points in South Carolina you can just imagine what is going on in all of those swing states."

If Donald Trump's approval rating remains where it is right now, we can win a close race. That approval rating is far more significant than who we nominate, with the possible exception of Sanders. A socialist changes the dynamic in so many ways it's not nearly as simple to forecast.

I like to eliminate names. An older nominee who has sought the election multiple times previously and never come close, that is not my ideal blueprint. The reasons for prior failures tend to show up late. It's like relying on a quarterback who has previously been a long term backup.

14,000+ lies
Impeachment
Numberist more impeachable offences
Half his "guys" are already in jail for doing crimes for him
Throws CIA, FBI, etc under bus Praises Putin
Insults real Heros, almost daily
Deficit spiralling out of control
Health insurance being taken away from millions
SS cuts
Medicaid cuts
USA hated around the world

All these things doesn't even move the needle of his cult following. All intelligent reasoning is gone.

Joe is doing well in the national polls. Now Bloomberg is taking the wind out of Joe's sails in Nevada and South Carolina. Sanders is leading in some polls by 12%.

Joe can't beat Trump if he can't win a primary.

primary today, I would vote for:

Completely agree with the OP. Biden is still the only one with a chance of winning in November and a slim one at that. Good luck to the others but that's just how it is.
